I’m so excited to tell you guys about “First Phone Call From Heaven” in our little book club! It is hands down one of the best books I’ve read this year! Mitch Albom is one of my favorite authors, so when my girlfriend told me he had a new book out, I ran to the library!
The book is centered on a small town where multiple people are receiving phone calls from their deceased loved ones, who tell them they are happy and that they are in heaven. I love books with multiple different story lines and that’s how this book is written. Each character’s story unravels separately until all the characters meet to share their stories for a live TV new story. It’s definitely a story of love and loss but is so touching and gave me all the warm fuzzies! I seriously loved it so much that I even bought it for my dad!
Mitch Albom is such a good story writer. I love his writing style and that his books usually focus on the importance of life and your relationships through a suspenseful, fictional story. My favorite of his books are:
+The Time Keeper (so, so good!)
+Tuesdays with Morrie (side note: is translated to “Martes con mi viejo profesor” in Spanish which is a much more descriptive and hilarious title😂)
+Five People You Meet in Heaven
The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto came out last year and I’m really excited to read that one as well! Have you read any of Mitch Albom’s books?! If so, what’d you think? If not, are you planning on reading any of them?! Comment below!
Thanks for reading!
